Terms of Use
Last updated: January 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing themorristown.com you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
2. Use of the Site
The site is provided for personal, non-commercial informational use, and for legitimate commercial use by advertisers under a separate sponsorship agreement. You may not scrape, republish, resell or systematically copy site content without written permission.
3. User Submissions
Classified listings, directory submissions and development tips are submitted by readers and reviewed before publication. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of anything you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive right to display, edit and remove it. We may decline or remove any submission for any reason.
4. Classifieds & Transactions
The Lakeway Swap Meet is a listing board only. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers, we do not verify items, prices, condition, ownership or identity, and we accept no responsibility for any transaction, meeting or dispute arising from a listing.
5. Business Listings & Sponsorships
Directory information is compiled from public sources and reader submissions and may be incomplete or out of date. Sponsored placements are paid and are identified on the page. Sponsorship terms, pricing and duration are governed by the written agreement with the advertiser. All advertised rates are introductory and may be increased at any time at our sole discretion. An existing subscriber's rate holds for the term already paid; any change applies to the next renewal, and we will give at least 30 days' notice before a renewal price change, after which continued use of the placement constitutes acceptance. You may cancel before renewal if you do not accept the new rate.
6. Third-Party Information
Weather data, event details, development updates and outbound links are provided by third parties and are supplied without warranty. Verify time-sensitive information with the source before relying on it.
7. Intellectual Property
Site design, layout, original text, graphics and compilation are owned by The Collective Software Group LLC. All website and product names, company names, logos and brands appearing on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Use of them does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Collective Software Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
10. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Fair Housing
All real-estate and housing content, listings and advertising on this site are subject to the federal Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. §3604(c)) and the Tennessee Human Rights Act, which make it illegal to publish any advertisement that indicates a preference, limitation or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin, or any intention to make such a preference. We are committed to equal housing opportunity. Our neighborhood content describes property and location only and never describes or ranks areas by the people who live in them. Advertisers are solely responsible for the compliance of their own copy, photos and links; we may reject or remove any housing advertisement or submission that we believe conveys a prohibited preference. Reports may be sent through our contact page, and housing-discrimination complaints may be filed with HUD at hud.gov/fairhousing or 1-800-669-9777 (TTY 1-800-927-9275).
13. Real Estate & Settlement Services (RESPA)
themorristown.com is an independent media publisher. We are not a real-estate brokerage, agent, appraiser, lender, mortgage broker, title or escrow company, insurer or other settlement-service provider, and we do not provide real-estate, lending, tax or legal advice. Placements in the real-estate section are bona fide paid advertising for the advertising space itself, sold at published rates, labeled on the page, and offered to all licensed brokerages, agents, lenders and settlement-service providers on the same terms on a first-come basis. Consistent with Section 8 of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (12 U.S.C. §2607), we do not give, accept, split or share any fee, kickback or thing of value in exchange for the referral of settlement-service business, we do not refer readers to providers, and we do not transfer reader information to advertisers. No advertiser receives editorial preference, and no advertisement is an endorsement or a recommendation. You are never required to use any provider shown on this site; you may shop for and select any real-estate, lending, title, insurance or closing provider you choose. Market commentary on this site is general information, not an appraisal, valuation, loan offer or solicitation of a loan.
